A little about me…
Hi all! My name is Fiona. I’m a stay-at-home mom and I also work full-time from home as an RN with a background in women’s health. My husband is an LCMS pastor and just got ordained in August 2025. We have two boys together and one baby in Heaven. My first son is two-and-a-half years old and we also have a 9-month-old so we’re in the trenches of parenthood over here. I love making sourdough bread, knitting/crocheting, reading, spending time with God and my family, and delving more into living holistically and starting the groundwork for our future homestead. With these posts, I’ll be open and honest and hopefully, if someone is struggling with similar troubles, needs advice, or even just solidarity in the fact that life isn’t perfect, this blog will resonate with them. I look forward to sharing my journey, passions, and even my struggles with y’all!
My background
I’m originally from a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and lived there until leaving for college at 18.
I attended Concordia University Ann Arbor (Go Cards!) where I met my husband. We started dating the summer before my sophomore year and the rest is history!
My husband and I married in June of 2022 back home in the U.P. and we made the big move to Missouri so he could continue his seminary education. We had our first son during my husband’s second year of school and just had our second surprise son in December!
I was born and raised in the Lutheran church, my mom made sure we were in there every Sunday. I grew up raising chickens, growing fresh vegetables in our garden, going swimming in lakes near our house, knitting and sewing various items, spending time with family, and so many other things I can’t wait to share with my kids as well as you all.
